Steve March Tormé

Extraordinary jazz singer Steve March Tormé will headline the Amelia Island Jazz Festival on Friday, October 8, with a special program, Tormé Sings Tormé, in honor of his legendary father, Mel, at the First Baptist Church Auditorium.  A veteran performer with numerous accolades and sold out shows to his credit, Steve March Tormé will be backed by the Dynamic Les DeMerle Big Band for an exciting musical evening of jazz featuring arrangements by his father and Marty Paich plus never before seen photos and video clips.  A stylish, intelligent singer whose voice echoes the smooth quality of his Dad’s work, March Tormé recorded the first of many critically acclaimed albums in the late 1970s and has since become an in-demand artists at top venues worldwide.  His latest CD, Inside/Out, features all new, original songs written entirely by him.  The Los Angeles Times recently described March Tormé's full, rich voice as “seductive and effortless” and praised his “natural ability to connect with audiences.”  Music Connection called him “an exceptionally versatile artist who could become the Sinatra of his generation.” <learn more...>
